Past Creativity & Current Projects

So, I have attempted, and even succeeded, in some creative ventures in the recent past. I'm by no means great at any one of these projects, especially for the amount of time I take to complete them. But, as the saying goes, "Jack of all trades; Master of none." I am, however, super proud of how a few of these turned out :
• The painting job in the play room with the shapes
• The ice dragon costume
• My own haircut
I may or may not expound on each of these things.

I made this ice dragon costume. It took forever to find a way to convince my daughter to not be Elsa (Frozen). I get tired of the princess stuff. But my good friend helped. Her daughter was going to be a dragon for Halloween, and convinced mine that an ice dragon would be SUPER AWESOME! Hooray!!

I made the wings/tail, horns, skirt, and did her face paint. Wings/tail are wire clothes hangers, pantyhose, and paint. Horns are stirofoam cones, etched, then painted. The skirt is just pieces of the mesh-type fabric (I don't remember the name... gossamer?) tied onto elastic.

Super proud. This was super fun.

04/07/2016

I'm not what you would call a "homemaker." But, I do admire people that grow/cook their own food, keep a beautifully clean home, sew/mend their own clothes, and are overall "craftsy." Since I don't work right now, and I have a never-ending bucket list of things I want to do & get better at, I am going to spend some time attempting to domesticate myself into what may resemble a stay-at-home-mom/wife/whatever. This blog was a way to document my progress. We'll see how it goes...
